This Editorial Policy explains how AgeFinder creates, reviews, and maintains the content and calculators on this site.
Our Editorial Principles
Accuracy. Every calculator we publish is tested against a range of scenarios before it goes live, including standard dates, leap years, February 29 birthdays, month-end dates, and other edge cases. If we find or are told about a calculation error, we treat it as a priority fix.
Clarity. We write for a general audience. Where a topic involves technical detail, such as how a leap year birthday is handled, we explain it in plain language rather than assuming prior knowledge.
Independence. Our calculators and educational content reflect our own testing and research. We do not accept payment to feature a particular result, method, or third-party service within our tools.
Transparency about limits. Our tools are built for general, everyday use. Where a topic touches on legal, medical, financial, or eligibility decisions, we say so plainly and point readers toward the actual authority or professional they should consult. See our Disclaimer for more detail.
How Content Is Created
- Research. Before publishing a calculator or article, we review the relevant rules, for example the specific calendar rules that govern leap years, and outline the intended user journey.
- Build and test. Calculators are built and then tested against a set list of scenarios (standard dates, edge cases, invalid input, and boundary conditions) before publishing.
- Review. Content is reviewed for clarity, accuracy, and tone before it’s published.
- Update. We revisit pages periodically, and sooner if a reader flags an issue or we identify one ourselves.
Corrections
If you spot an error, whether in a calculation, an explanation, or a fact stated on the site, please tell us at mynameatarehman@gmail.com. We review every report and correct confirmed errors promptly. Significant corrections are noted with an updated “last updated” date on the affected page.
Advertising and Affiliate Content (if applicable)
If this site displays advertising or affiliate links, they are kept visually and structurally separate from our editorial content and calculators. Advertising placement does not influence how a calculator works or what results it produces.
